Overview
The
New Zealand Benchmarking Club has been established in order
to assist like-minded organisations towards an ambitious,
yet achievable, objective of "world-class performance
by members". The New Zealand Benchmarking Club was
formed in May 2000 through a partnership between Massey
University and the New Zealand Business Excellence Foundation,
and is managed by the Centre
for Organisational Excellence Research at Massey University.
The Club currently consists of 18 New
Zealand organisations that are totally committed to
becoming world-class performers. Although
the member organisations differ in size, age, ownership/governance,
and industry sector, they successfully work together to
acquire, share and apply knowledge of best practices. This
diversity is a unique strength of the Club, as it provides
members with invaluable opportunities to learn from the
knowledge, experiences, and perspectives that the other
members bring. Truly innovative and creative thinking in
business operations often result from such a distinctive
and stimulating environment.
