What
is (GBN) Global Benchmarking Network
The
Global Benchmarking Network (GBN) is an alliance of leading
benchmarking centres worldwide with a common vision and
mission. Founded in November 1994 by representatives from
benchmarking centres in Germany, Italy, Sweden, the United
Kingdom, and the United States, GBN currently consists of
benchmarking centres from 17 nations. Together, those centres
represent more than 25,000 businesses and government agencies.
The New Zealand Benchmarking Club is New Zealand’s
sole representative of this prestigious group.
The
GBN’s Vision and Mission are:
Vision
A network
of benchmarking centres worldwide to foster benchmarking
and promote best practice sharing.
Mission
Through
its affiliates, provide a global network that promotes benchmarking,
enhances communication among affiliates, offers expert support,
and demonstrates significant benefits from the pursuit of
benchmarking. GBN affiliates agree to adopt the Benchmarking
Code of Conduct for information, ethical, and protocol expectations
developed by the SPI Council on Benchmarking, USA.
